About Topley Driving School

Most instruction is carried out in a one-hour lesson per week over very many weeks. Each week the first part of the lesson reviews what the aims and achievements were the previous week. Then just as you begin to get the feel of the current weeks topic it is time to head back home.

Intensive Courses do away with starting and stopping each week. The sessions are longer (up to five hours) over consecutive days so there is less opportunity to forget.

There is also more flexibility in the tuition. One skill may be grasped very quickly while another takes much longer. In the weekly lessons, progress can be hindered because of time restraints. In Intensive Courses moving on from one skill to another is smoother.

.As you are in the same car all through the course and the test, you will get a good feel of how to drive it and therefore feel more confident when you take the test.

The Course is structured to prepare you not only for the Driving Test but also to put you on the road to a lifetime of safe driving.

The length of the course depends on you previous experience and your learning capacity. I am sure you are aware that the older you are, the harder it becomes to master new skills and therefore you may require more time.

Courses generally start at 8.00 a.m. with up to five hours tuition each day depending on the length of your course. There will be a half-hour break during each day's session. If a morning course is not convenient for you an afternoon course can be arranged. Courses involving weekends can also be arranged at no additional cost.

Before you enrol for an Intensive Driving Course you must hold a valid Theory Test Certificate. You can book your Theory & Hazard Perception Test by online at www.dsa.gov.uk or on the phone using a debit/credit card on 0300 200 1122
